Hand-made and painted set of 2 Scallop side plates,  made in Portugal using traditional techniques by a family-run factory. The scallop design is a motif taken from traditional designs. These colorful ceramics are inspired by the 'fajalauza' tradition of Granada, Spain, which stems from the city's history of blending Spanish north African culture. They speak of sunshine, long lunches, and 'sobremesa': the Spanish word for the conversation over the table after a meal with family and friends. We use ours for breakfasts, salads, and desserts, or on the center of the table as decorative serving plates.
