Le Creuset Cast Iron Tagine is designed for slow cooking meat and vegetables with a small amount of liquid.

The cast iron base evenly distributes heat and can be used on any heat source, or on its own as a baking dish in the oven. Le Creuset Cast Iron cookware works efficiently at low to medium cooking temperatures and retains heat effectively, ensuring food stays warm for longer.

The Stoneware 'Coolie' style lid offers the same cooking properties as the earthenware original. Steam is re-condensed into water droplets on its cool walls which falls back into the ingredients keeping them succulent and moist.

Care instructions: Remove all packaging and labels, wash the pan in hot, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Use medium or low heat for cooking, including frying and searing, and opt for Le Creuset silicone, wooden, or heat-resistant plastic tools. Use an appropriately sized ring for even cooking and to prevent damage, avoiding dry cooking as the sand enamel surface is unsuitable. Vegetable, rapeseed, or sunflower oil is recommended, and always lift rather than drag the pan across glass surfaces to prevent damage. The pan is oven and grill safe up to 260°C, with a minimum 6.5cm distance required when grilling, and oven gloves should always be used when handling hot products. Allow the pan to cool before cleaning to avoid thermal shock, which can cause cracks or enamel loss. Handwashing is recommended, though the pan is freezer compatible and dishwasher safe.
