Generally, the best time to honeymoon in the Caribbean falls during the dry season, which runs from December to April. This period ensures sun-soaked days, minimal rainfall, and comfortable temperatures ranging from 25°c to 30°c. 

However, don’t rule out the shoulder months of November and May, where you can get better value hotels and flights. Plus, you’re more likely to enjoy your honeymoon spot with fewer other tourists.

What’s the honeymoon capital of the Caribbean?

While it's hard to pinpoint a single "honeymoon capital" in the Caribbean, St. Lucia often steals the spotlight. The island's romantic allure, especially in areas like Soufrière with its iconic Pitons, makes it a favourite among newlyweds.

This rugged east coast gem with its unique pink-tinged sands, is a romantic paradise. Stay in a historic resort perched on cliffs, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Plus, if you’re looking for fine dining, there are plenty of options in Barbados. 

Fun fact- you won’t find any private beaches in Barbados, they’re all public.

Top tip: If you’re wanting your sea to resemble a mill pond, stick to the west coast for calmer seas.

Negril's Seven Mile white sand beach is renowned for its powdery white sand and vibrant turquoise waters. if you’re looking for a large-scale resort with all the bells and whistles, head to Montego Bay. If you’re in the market for intimate boutique restaurants, make Negril your base.

Also known as the Spice Island, Granada isn’t short on must-see attractions and romantic experiences. Grand Anse Beach in Grenada is a two-mile stretch of pristine white sand. Dreamy.

Oh, we almost forgot to mention it was voted the world’s second-best beach in 2023. If that’s not a reason to visit, we don’t know what is.

Just 8 minutes away from Eagle Beach sits the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel. This boutique hideaway is going ‘adults-only’ from 2025 onwards. So romance and a grown-up vibe are guaranteed. 

Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic offers all-inclusive luxury with sprawling resorts along palm-fringed beaches. Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach is a picture-perfect destination with pristine sands and crystal-clear waters. There aren’t any direct flights to the Cayman Islands from London, but if you ask us, that leaves a perfect opportunity for a multi-destination honeymoon!

while it’s a little touristy, head to Stingray City to get up close and personal with an abundance of stingrays.
